WNC Ballet’s mission is to educate students through online and in-person ballet classes and masterclasses for all ages and abilities. WNC Ballet offers ballet and yoga classes for children ages 3 through adults at the Otto Community Center and online.

Lindsay Hensley Clark began dance training at age 3 in Asheville, NC at Fletcher School of Dance. She studied classical ballet, jazz, tap and lyrical ballet and furthered her classical and contemporary/modern dance training at the Greenville Ballet school and company in SC. She was accepted into and attended the School of American Ballet, and Boston Ballet for summer studies and graduated from the North Carolina School of the Arts. Upon graduation, Lindsay studied at the American Ballet Theatre and began dancing professionally at North Carolina Dance Theatre. Her professional dancing and teaching career led her to Florida.
In 2008, she founded Tampa Bay Ballet and from 2012-2020 was the Artistic Director of Tampa Ballet Theatre. For over a decade she choreographed and staged many classical and neoclassical ballets for the school and company including The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Coppelia, Alice and Wonderland, Dracula, Giselle, Les Sylphides, Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and excerpts from La Bayadere, Romeo and Juliet, Paquita, Diana and Actaeon, Don Quixote, Swan Lake and many more.
Lindsay has dedicated 28 years to teaching classical ballet. She has expanded her reach across multiple states, bringing her passion for dance to students everywhere. She has trained many professional dancers and enjoys educating children and adults of all levels. Ms. Lindsay currently teaches ballet, pointe, variation and yoga classes in Western North Carolina with WNC Ballet at the Otto Community Development Center, The Dance Arts Co-Op at Cowee School Arts and Heritage Center and online.

In addition to classes, students will learn the WNC Ballet Syllabus, ballet terminology, anatomy, dance history, methods of ballet technique and schools of training. Students will also have yearly exams and mentorship sessions to ensure their progress.
Classes and lessons are subject to change. 24 hours notice is required for all canceled private lesson or a $25 cancellation fee will be charged. The instructor is not responsible for any injuries that may occur.
